Black ceramics are obtained through the oxidation of the iron present in the clay during firing. This process is carried out by sealing the kiln once the wood combustion is finished, retaining the smoke and letting it rest for about 15 days. It is an ancient technique, practically disappeared.
Starting from this firing process, a series of pieces were designed and finished with this technique. The Foscas collection arises from the selection of molds from a rotary press and extrusions of existing basic pieces, making use of the most industrial part of the ceramic process.
Taburete 8
Year: 2021 Produced by HAY since 2024.
Prototype height 60cm in china red.
Taburete 8 is the final piece and the peak of the Familia 8 collection, which began with the chair: Silla 8.
It features a simple metal structure made from standard sections, with just a piece of plywood serving as the seat. This plywood piece curves once it is placed in position under pressure. What I like most about this stool is that it would be difficult to change or remove anything from it, since it's been optimized to the fullest.

Pista Central
Year: 2023 for Concentrico 09.
An improvised tennis court in the middle of the Town Hall square in Logroño. Pista Central is a fleeting exercise that consists of bringing a tennis court to a public space. Unlike other types of sports, such as football, basketball, petanque or ping pong, we don’t usually find tennis courts in public spaces.
To put it in context, or rather out of context, the court is located in the middle of a square surrounded by a grandstand and crossed by a net, both pieces made of a scaffolding structure, emphasising its ephemeral and street character. A space for play, meeting and decontextualisation.
